As from May 2007

Junior Church on Sundays.

Due to irregular attendance of parents and children, a shortage of leaders and helpers, and some of the team not getting to church, Junior Church has been re-arranged. Therefore

1st Sunday - 45-60 minute family service (everyone in together).
2nd Sunday - Normal church service with Junior church.
3rd Sunday - Normal Church with no Junior church.
4th Sunday - Normal Church service with Junior Praise (the children have their own service together in the church hall)
5th Sunday - Normal Church with no Junior church.

Children and Young People

The Church of the Good Shepherd see children and young people as a vital part of the community. Therefore, we endeavour to offer a broad spectrum of things for them within our programme. Most Sunday mornings the children and young people are able to be involved in activities that engage with practical Christian teaching and living. We all meet together at the beginning of most services and the children & young people will leave sometime during the proceedings to go to their specific group, and they will join us for refreshments afterwards.

Communion.

Children and young people are very welcome during Communion, and with their parents (or guardian's) permission are able to fully partake in the ceremony as long as they are baptised by receiving the elements.

Weekday activities for Children & Young People.

On Tuesday evening we run our Campaigner groups which meet at 6pm & 7:45pm and cater for 6-10 & 10+ ages. There are games, crafts and a devotional time.

On Thursday evening we run the Shepherds' Rest open club, which at present is attended by all ages from the various young people that congregate around the church and on the estate.

For further information concerning any of these activities please do not hesitate to contact us.
